What?! A Craftsman Renovated & Not Torn Down?!
A small craftsman next to Country Doctor has been renovated into an office space for local healthcare practitioners with a residential apartment below. Surrounded by new apartment buildings and bulldozed singled family homes, a small craftsman is still sitting happily on the block providing a home for local businesses and renters. Small business owners Jeremy Steward of JStewardBodywork and Eric Hartmann of Eric Hartmann Acupucture will be renters in the new space. They had moved their practices away from Capitol Hill due to previous locations being sold to developers. They have called Capitol Hill home since 1997 and are thrilled to be able to move their work life back to the neighborhood they live in. Other local businesses include Glenn Maarse Phd and Kris Weaver CHt of Hypnoworks. The renovation was designed by local architect Chris Wright of Group3 Architects, and constructed by GT Residential Contracting. The interior features artwork by local artists Stallman Studio. The new offices are located at 1908 E Republican Street near the corner of 19th Avenue East.
