Cal Anderson Fountain Bubbly Goodness! – Updated

At some point around 10pm tonight, some unknown person(s) put what smelled like dish soap in the Cal Anderson fountain, turning it into a foamy mess!  The basin around the volcano had around 3 feet of bubbles in it when we rolled up and the lower level was filled with foam too.

Lots of bikers from the Bike In enjoyed a foam fight and the dogs walking in the park seemed quite confused.

Great clean fun- hopefully it doesn’t screw up any of the workings of the fountain!

From the editor: Dewey Potter from Seattle parks said crews are working on it today, using either a chemical to dissipate the foam, or just a hose to clear it out onto the lawn. Potter said this happens about 3 times a year, and that it will be cleaned up by the end of the day.
