Black Daisy at Laff Hole
Laff Hole the Musical featuring Black Daisy and more.

This August 3rd, Laff Hole presents Laff Hole the Musical, a Bumbershoot Preview, combining the things that make Bumbershoot great–music, art, comedy, drinks, and food–in one event. At 6pm, FLATSTOCK and The American Poster Institute host a cocktail hour (FREE) and poster exhibition in anticipation of their show at Bumbershoot.
Then, Seattle’s best musical comedians and comedic musicians take the stage, for a night of songs and mirth. Notably, Black Daisy will perform.
Black Daisy is the comedy-film-music alliance of Troy Nelson and Cody Hurd. Nelson, a KEXP DJ, and Hurd are familiar to many as two-thirds of The Young Evils, an increasingly buzzed-about Seattle band. As Black Daisy, they create darkly comic videos that are as surreal as they are based on characters from everyday life. After a flurry of activity following the release of their DVD, The Hardy Har Har Collection, in 2007, Black Daisy performances have been rare. Don’t miss this opportunity to see them live, August 3rd.
At 9pm, “Laff Hole The Musical” takes the stage with the Northwest’s best comedic musicians and musical comedians. Black Daisy will intersperse videos throughout the evening and finish the night with an acoustic set.
