Here’s a smattering of Hill-related stuff we found bouncing around the Internet. Miss anything?
- Neumo’s as a house of worship? Stranger notes possible conflict between Hill culture, nightclub church.
- Capitol Hill Triangle highlights two of its favorites Hill sandwich places.
- Tonight, a Capitol Hill tasting of wine made in industrial South Seattle.
- cap to the hill announce a new content initiative. We say never depend on children. Can’t be trusted.
- So, McGilvra Place “pocket park”? Capitol Hill, Central District or First Hill? Want it?
- Congrats to the Capitol Hill Community Council for securing its new semi-permanent home at the shelter house in Cal Anderson Park. Meeting tonight — and every third Thursday of the month — from 7p to 9p.
McGilvra Place Pocket Park… that would be the Central District! Madison is your dividing line between Cap. Hill and the CD (note: welcome to the CD sign at Madison and Pike). Plus your about 3 blocks east of First Hill, since 12th Ave. is your traditional divider between First Hill and the CD.
Want to be in all three neighborhoods at once? Stand in front of the Udre Arms Apartments! Whee!
Did I say Undre Arms? Sheesh 3 cups of coffee later, what I meant to say was if you stood in the middle of 12th and Madison (which I don’t recommend!) you would be in all three neighborhoods at once…
I reiterate the congratulations to CHCC for finding a new home. It sure makes my life a lot easier.
And about that church at Neumo’s – we have plenty of churches in the neighborhood, and most if not all have been Capitol Hill friendly – accepting, open, not bigoted, etc. It’s a shame that we’re adding a new one that seems to be none of those things.
neumo’s has already quit doing business with the creepy cult church, according to slog.
