15th Ave vs. 19th Ave Greek restaurant death match

We might have a feta fight on our hands. Vios does great Greek food. It’s Vios’ thing. We like it. Last month, they served Greek food. Next month, they will serve Greek food. They will likely serve Greek food again the month after next. Coastal Kitchen’s menu, on the other hand, tours the world. According to this Craigslist post looking for art, Coastal’s spinning globe just landed on Greece. Starting today, Venezuela is out. Greece is in at Coastal.

No word on how Vios will respond to this turf encroachment. Price war? All you can eat lamb burger bar? Hopefully you like Greek food — there’s going to be a lot of it around here for awhile.

I’ve been impressed with the amount of research Chow Foods does when they “visit” a country. Greece was the seasonal menu at the Hi-Life not too long ago, and the selections there were quite good.

Greece has a very wide and varying cuisine. Vios offers one slice of it. I’m curious to see what Coastal Kitchen will offer.

In checking their web site, http://www.chowfoods.com, I see they haven’t posted the menu yet. I guess I’ll just have to walk by there and take a gander.

Tried out the Greek Menu of Coastal Kitchen this weekend. The flaors were very subtle (we shared the Med. Plate) and the Albacore Tuna was phenomenal.

It was a satisfying meal after this event: http://www.nightanddaychallenge.com
which seems right up the alley of capitolhillseattle.com

We saw several people in safety-orange bibs wandering around Capitol Hill. Must have been you!
