Until this morning, we didn’t associate yummy crepes with North Dakota. And the most interesting thing we’d taken note of to date on Madison is the crowd around Chocolate City. Our bad. The Fargonian Coffeehouse is worth the walk to Madison, giving lucky, lucky us yet another quality caffeine dealer to choose from. The crepes were served plate style with the sweet editions accompanied by way more whip cream on the side than any grown-up should have in a single serving. We both went sweet — one with Nutella, one with peanut butter, both with bananas. We paired our Fargonian feast with thick double-shot 8 oz. lattes and sat down with the full but not Victrola-level crowd to watch Madison’s random sidewalk action. It was good to have another view of the city, we agreed, and it was good to have another choice for those many lazy mornings when we want somebody else to make us breakfast. Or lunch. We have been informed The Fargonian’s sandwiches are also worth a visit.
