Nerds, help democracy

King County has put out a call for tech savvy volunteers to work at voting locations on Nov. 7. The poll worker office doesn’t have enough people signed up to assist with its AVUs — accesible voting units. The units are designed to enable voters with disabilities to cast their ballots. In spite of the “tech savvy” filter, interested heroes are encouraged to make an old-fashioned phone call. Talk to the poll worker office at (206) 296-1606. Use Skype if it will make you feel better.
