A brusque, dashed off comment, delivered with certainty. Do you believe it?
What’s the measure? All sandwiches or only pizza house sandwiches? This will need to be explored.

How come Olympia Pizza doesn’t get its own tag, like VPC or Smith or Liberty? I’ll tell you why. Cause you’re a bunch of snobs!
I did not even consider this restaurant for review. It seems so “old school.” It seemed like the place we had to like 10 years ago because we lacked other options. Over the years the pizza (and extraordinarily long wait) hardly SEEMED worth the effort – overcooked and lacking value. Maybe it’s finally time revisit and try to comprehend what on earth this reader might be talking about.
No, gene, because we’re sloppy. It’s got it’s widdle taggy wag now. happy?
I like the salad there. omfg cheese and olives.
Their house special pizza is awesome. The fact that eating one results in an immediate gain of 10 lbs; not so awesome.
Oh please. Olympia feels just like you want/remember a pizza place to feel. Everything is from central casting, except the pizza. Even my starving mob of weasels declared it a disaster when a great glob of cheese magma took a grease slide off the crust. (“That’s o.k. kids, it’s supposed to do that.” ) I want to like you, Olympia, but you won’t let me. And the other place, by the video store, that cooks pizza in a sideways toaster … might as well be a balloon store.
Time for a capitol hill pizza poll off. Lets settle this.
I had a salad there once that must have weighed 3 pounds. It’s insane!
Olympia Pizza is where my dad used to take me and my younger brother when my mum was out of town. They have pitchers of soda (which I rarely, if ever, see anywhere else) and the best Greek salad. I used to crave it when I lived in New York.
Now that I’m back in Seattle I think of it very fondly and wander back every once in a while. Its chill and the food is good. It reminds me of a 15th that is quickly fading.

Nope, gene, we try not to. We did move to registered comments only, however — used to allow anonymous but the anon comments tended to be mostly evil. The only comments we remove these days are clear attempts to spam — happens about 2 or 3 times a month only. We prefer as free of an exchange as possible.
I was kidding about you guys being snobs. I really don’t like Olympia’s pizza. It isn’t like any other pizza I’ve ever had. It is a heaping pile of gooey melted cheese, and I’d almost swear it had cheddar and/or American cheese on there.
