Very few things we write about stir the comment pot like tagging. Last week’s post about one neighbor’s actions to clean up graffiti and tags in the area brought out lots of comments from both sides of the stencil.
This thread from a flickr Seattle streetart discussion group — which mockingly references our little conversation — leaves us wondering, who is doing the tagging? It’s an issue of personal responsibility — the people making the decision to do the tagging can also make the decision of how it’s done and where.
So the first question for us is Who. We have a few hypotheses — who do you think it is? Select all that apply.

The two times I’ve come across taggers (in the alley behind our place, tagging the dumpsters), they’ve been middle school aged boys. So I voted for “your kids”.
UW kiddies looking for a thrill? I don’t think so. More like my neighbors’ kiddies.
