Volunteer Park a movie set again?

First we saw the search queries over the weekend. Now we see this note on the message board:

cool people, lots of electricity
Any idea what the production crew in Volunteer Park is up to? It seems to be something on a fairly large scale.

We’re stuck at our day jobs so can’t go investigate. What’s shaking?

I know that Charlize Theron and Viggo Mortensen are supposed to hit Seattle as one of the locations for The Road … just guessing though

I emailed the parks dept. liaison from the Seattle Film Office. He responded very quickly with the following:

The filming was for a major motion picture that is filming in Seattle this week. They are only parking their production vehicles and setting up a tent in the park and using the cemetery for filming. As I’m sure you know, the cemetery is not Parks Department property.

They are loading in today and will be filming some today and tomorrow. They will all done by tomorrow evening (3/11/08).

Vancouver Film Company was there with a ton of trucks. We saw nothing else while walking to dog.

According to a person who reads the casting/extras calls on Craigslist, it is a Jenifer Aniston flick and they will filming in 4 different locations around the city this week.

We walked by there this afternoon and saw the name “Burke” on one of the trailers.

So it looks like it is “Traveling” with my boyfriend Aaron Eckhart- http://imdb.com/title/tt0899106/

We got a reader inquiry late Tues night about a possible sighting here in WS … if it was this same production, looks short-lived ’cause this guy posted the notice that says they’ll be at Pike Place today (Wed)

My son works at Pike Place Market. They’re paying all the craft vendors to use their stalls on Wednesday. Pike Place will have two-way traffic during filming. They put fake leaves on the leafless trees and are bringing in spring flowers from florists for the Hmong flower vendors to sell.
