Snow, sleet, chilly wind in April meant a special offering from QFC this weekend — firewood. We prefer Java Logs, thanks. Also stayed warm with tall lattes, waffles from VPC, meeting neighbors at the Miller Park Community Center b-day party, yucky spring cleaning. You?

I’m probably going to get a lot of liberetarian animosity for this but I think burning wood should be illegal in cities except if you have no other mode of heating.

When my neighbors burn wood (which is WAY too often) I can’t go outside for 5 minutes without stinking like a fireplace.

Why don’t we drive around in Model T’s while we’re at it?

(ducking) :)

so you object because you stink? how’s banning firewood going to change that?

we’re down with java logs. if Whole Foods sells ’em, they must be good for the envir’ment.

Java Logs. Burn your compost – it’s better for the environment.

My apartment is so warm that we’ve had our balcony door open a few inches almost all winter. I’ve turned our heat on maybe twice in the last year when I wasn’t feeling well. Who needs a fireplace!

We had the opposite problem as Wesa this weekend; our building’s boiler went out. No heat until Sunday night. Needless to say, it sucked.
