We’ve noticed a few more panhandlers back on 15th lately. Like the tulips, seems to come with spring. Looks like somebody is bringing the power of the pole to the situation. Worked for today, anyway — the usually well-manned ‘handle spot below this sign in front of Walgreens wasn’t staffed.
Frankly not sure the sign is necessary. We don’t mind being asked for change in a mostly polite, non-aggressive way. But, then again, if the skate rats from Broadway and irritating hipster panhandling hobbyists from downtown start hopping on the 10, we might start putting up some signs of our own.
UPDATE: Question in the comments about the fine print. Here you go:

I guess 15th is okay with signs in this case. The masking tape bandit is nowhere to be found.
What does the fine print say? I’m too lazy to go look.
Who is this 15th Ave committee?
Wow — how offensive. If you don’t like homeless people around then please donate to or volunteer at one of the many great agencies that are helping to end homelessness in Seattle & King County.

typical Seattle… I anonymously ask you not to ask me for money, because it makes me anxious which is your problem, certainly not mine!
(Beggars have a 1st Amendment right to beg, the Supreme Court has repeatedly ruled this.)
I wish I had the right to blast them with a super soaker.
