Given our sometimes liberal stance regarding ‘street art,’ a few of you will probably be happy to hear that we got tagged last night. The spraycanners also did up a few other spots in the neighborhood including a heavy dose of black paint in front of the Russian Community Center on 19th Ave. Those tags were mostly Cyrillic though one read “Free Grozny.”
We’ll ping the Graffiti Ranger. Probably can’t do much about Chechnya but we can remove paint.
Why do you hate artists?
Love the artists, hate the art.
What we’re seeing here are tags, not art.
Even if was a work of art worthy of a master, on private property and without permission it is destruction of property and a crime.
For people who tag and make the lame “Free speech is not a crime” defense (that poor guy with the huge wall on 23rd has my sympathy) I have a teaching moment in mind.
They’ll have their body, perhaps their face and neck, semi-permenantly tattooed with free speech of someone else’s choice to see how well they hold to their principles.

P.s. No-one deserves to get tagged.
Hey, I just went by your house apparently. I saw your tag and thought I better check my back garage now for tags.
For the record I was being facetious.
which record? your favorite ever? An Innocent Man? we know what you rock, pffft.
