Took the little one to Volunteer Park to splash in the wading pool the other day and overheard the parks department attendant discussing his work with a fellow parks-employed teen. Sounds like the perfect summer job. Next summer, if I can figure out how to view my laptop screen in the sunshine glare, I’m applying for the job.

This job has to be right up there with school crossing guard.
I don’t know, after studying up this paragraph under the Supervision section makes the job lose a bit of its luster:
“Bathers with infectious or communicable diseases, or
conditions such as a cold, flu, skin eruptions, open blisters
or inflamed eyes should be excluded from the wading
pool….”
Good luck with supervising them and those.
Where do you find more info about the job? I didn’t find it on craig’s list. I have a friend desperate for a job and $12 isn’t bad for an easy job that sounds fun. :)
park’s department jobs are some of the highest sought out summer jobs out there. good luck! (my experience is that you need to know or be related to someone in the know).
