Links: Disturbing animal crime?

Here’s how Links posts happen. I have a massive pile of RSS feeds that I dig through almost every day in search of stuff you, neighbor, just have to know. I share pretty much anything remotely interesting I find here. I get very excited when I find something big enough to build an entire post around. That’s rare. The best of the rest graduate to Links posts. Now you know.

  • Possibly deserving its own post someday (an item can only hope!), Seattlest disturbed by well-skinned squirrel. Considering that violence to animals is often cited as precursor to even more serious violence, I’d be disturbed too (If I saw the squirrel. And wasn’t such a skeptic that it was actually skinned. Sorry for my incredulity. It’s a habit.)
  • Speaking of violence, another stabbing (reportedly not life threatening) on Capitol Hill last night. Not saying there’s a trend or oh my god, look out, etc. by posting it — just noting the incident.
  • Seattle Times noodles on Spinasse: “Yes, Spinasse (say speen-AH-say) is yet another boisterous restaurant where communal dining is de rigueur. It’s not for everyone, but I would urge anyone enthralled with la vita bella Italiana to go and experience one of the purest evocations of northwestern Italy’s Piedmont region that you are likely to find in the New World.” CHS says, haven’t been. Yet.
  • Top expectation for sales associate role at Capitol Hill underwear boutique? Not shy.
  • And not Capitol Hill but one of my favorite media moments ever should be celebrated this weekend with Sigur Ros in town. The radio dude involved in perhaps the most painful rock interview… ever has a night-time radio show here in Seattle now. Worth a listen.
