Broadway’s holiday style

Low enough to see…

Notice the wreaths and garlands along Broadway and Pike/Pine? That’s because the Hill’s chamber of commerce (who footed the bill for the holiday greenery and lights) convinced workers to go back out and lower the decorations within eye level. Apparently the Hill’s main corridors had so many banners, etc. flying that workers decided to add the the holiday installations where there was space requiring passersby to look nearly straight up to see. No longer. Now the urban grit has a little seasonal decor low enough to see but, of course, high enough to keep you crazy kids from grabbing some decorations for home. Merry Xmas.
