Early Monday morning gunshots near Miller Park?

We got an e-mail tonight from a CHS neighbor who woke to the sound of gunshots early Monday morning:
Last night, (4/12) my roommate and I had gone to bed in our apartment at 18th and Howell and at around 1 a.m. we heard 4 shots fired that sounded like they came from very nearby.

Checking the police scanner archives from Central District News HQ, there were multiple 911 calls around 12:57 AM reporting anywhere from 3 to 6 shots fired. The callers reported hearing the shots somewhere between Thomas and Howell along 19th Ave E.

Multiple Seattle Police Department units were dispatched to the area. An officer responding to the calls reported arresting the driver of a red 2002 Chevy Trailblazer found parked on Coryell Court near Thomas for an outstanding warrant. It appears that man was booked for failure to appear. Nobody in the jail registry was booked on any gun related charges this morning around the time of the reported shots. Also, there were no medical callouts to the area in the 911 log so whatever the cause of the noise, it appears that nobody was injured.

We’ll see if we can squeeze any info out of SPD’s public information officers in the morning.

I also live on 18th and Howell and heard gun shots. They seemed very close. Afterwards there was nothing, no screeching car tires or yelling, just 4 shots in a row.
