The Hill on other sites: New sushi on Broadway, bar on 12th, stranded Ausies

We’re not the only site watching Capitol Hill.

Cap Hill focused 8 Block Walk has the scoop on what’s replacing the shuttered Fire Grill BBQ at 420 Broadway E:

Over at the Seattle Weekly, the food and drink Cap Hill news is that the team behind Belltown gastropub Spur are bringing their act to Trace Lofts on 12th Ave. Joint will be called Tavern Law and Weekly says to watch for it opening in late June. You might remember that Trace was destined to have a place with the very-poor-idea-for-a-name Gun Club but that venture apparently fell apart.

Meanwhile another site you might have heard about has news of an Australian couple stranded on their walkabout across the States after their Toyota minivan was stolen on Capitol Hill’s Belmont Ave on Monday night. Seattle Times says readers are reaching out to support the young Aussies after their van was found 180 miles away, gutted of anything of value including the couple’s posessions.
