Spent Sat. biking around the north end of the lake to get to No Depression at Marymoor (w/ stop at Redhook for lunch, of course!); then spent Sunday either cozy at home or grocery shopping on the east side & retrieving bikes…
I just got back in town and was also stuck by how empty the hill was. I was even able to score a good seat at Presse to watch Tour de France! Sure it was cloudy Sunday but I still can’t imagine why anyone would want to be anywhere else on a summer weekend.
Are you trying to tell me that all the people I was with at Harvard Exit on Friday night and in Volunteer Park on Saturday afternoon were from off the Hill???
I don’t at all like the way this is headed…
an apology and two thanks
1. To the biker in the orange shirt I cut off on 12th between Pike and Union on Friday afternoon, I am so sorry. I didn’t look long enough to see you and I am sorry I scared you.
2. To the woman at Victrola on Sunday who returned the purse when we left it on the chair, basically all day. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
3. To the finance professor from SU who helped me walk one bicycle home while I pushed the other, I’m not sure what I was thinking trying to get two bikes home at once, but you really saved the day.
