‘Obama=Hitler’ group causes ruckus on Broadway

CHS just heard a call go out on East Precinct police radio regarding a woman reporting being assaulted by a demonstrator on Broadway. We were wondering what kind of demonstration was happening on Broadway that we’d somehow missed. Then we saw this picture in @kevinseattle’s tweet stream and everything made sense.

More when we can find out what happened from SPD.

A few years back, I was in downtown Seattle with my 84 year old mother. It was right around Thanksgiving, and there was a huge holiday crowd. The La Douchians were set up right across from F&N (Mom won’t acknowledge it’s gone) and they came up to us and asked us something obnoxious in the most appallingly graphic language.

I thought the old gal was going to slug them with her pocketbook (she may be elderly, but she’s still got her arm and her aim) but I intervened and responded to them in kind, which got me a lecture from mom (she doesn’t approve of cussing)

I should have just let her have at them. If nothing else, it would have been great television :-)

Lyndon LaRouche is a self-avowed anti-semite and aligned himself with quite a few neo-nazi groups as recently as 2001. He’s also a fraud and went to jail for that fact.

They enjoy rousting people up and most LaRouchies are disenchanted Paultards and Nader fans.

I saw these people outside Urban a couple of weeks ago. When I passed by, a very depressed-sounding woman muttered something about Obama, and I just ignored them. I really just wanted to laugh in their faces, but they looked SO depressed that I almost felt sorry for them. Then I realised that they had purposely chosen the most liberal neighbourhood in the most liberal city in Washington, on a rainy day. So, I decided that they were just masochists. I didn’t think they would ever be back!

Talking about the recent LaDouche incident in Edmonds involving an old man, a friend suggested people just stand around the LaDouche table so noone else can see or get to them, as well as possibly intimidating them.

What happened to Flashmob and Carrotmob? Someone should do something like that. But it could always backfire and just give the LynDouchians more publicity…

Is our childrens learning? No, apparently some of them still believe in LaDouche.

These people who support convicted felon and cult leader Lyndon LaRouche are going too far with the Obama Hitler signs. They need to wake up and smell the coffee and then maybe they will realize they are supporting a man who is a convicted felon barring him from, holding office, even if the looser could muster enough votes to even register.

I saw similar signs at the downtown end of Pike, near the market last month. I was heading uphill, and at the other end of the block was a Real Change vendor singing a gospel song, and ad libbing verses in support of Obama.
