David Bowie New Year’s Eve at Odd Fellows

We’ll have a more comprehensive rundown of Capitol Hill New Year’s Eve highlights and, heck, we still have Christmas to get through, but thought you might want time to get your outfit planned for this one. Lifelong AIDS Alliance is a hosting a benefit masquerade ball with a David Bowie theme.

“As the World Falls Down,” a Labyrinth masquerade ball and benefit, will take over Odd Fellows West Hall for a Capitol Hill countdown and celebration of the year behind and the future ahead. It’s spendy — tickets are $125 — but you get everything you need to celebrate the night. Except your David Bowie outfit. And your Iman. You need to come up with those yourself.

Bowie is boss and this sounds like the best NYE of all time. I wish I wasn’t all the way over here on the east coast!

I believe The Adventure School is hosting this event, not Lifelong. But the event is benefiting Lifelong AIDS Alliance.

The media and outreach for a major event has been sketchy … too bad … most people make plans ahead for New Year’s. Sounds like a great party.

I wonder if the AIDS Foundation tells people they need to put the word out for fundraisers, would make sense…. or something.

By the way – it is not Oddfellows Cafe, but up on the 4th Floor – at first it seemed to say a cafe space which would be already busy and kinda small.

Pass the word, maybe a great party, good cause.
