Being #2 ain’t bad. 904 16th Ave E (Windermere)
Real estate site Estately has compiled a list of the 25 most-expensive homes sold last year and more of them are on Capitol Hill than any other neighborhood.
Estately identifies Cap Hill’s #1 as ‘Home on Federal Ave.’
You might recall it as the former home of banking exec Steven Rotella who was forced to sell the 7,000 square-foot house for 24% less than his asking price after he oversaw the collapse of Washington Mutual, the second largest banking failure in the nation’s history.
We also wrote about the sale of the second-most expensive home on the list — the 1904 16th Ave E. mansion pictured on this post — back in July.
Here is the rest of the Capitol Hill roster. If any of you CHS neighbors live in one of these, how come you never invite us over?
