A medical response for a driver in a vehicle stalled in a Pike/Pine crosswalk turned into an arrest this afternoon on E. Pike near 11th Ave. No details yet on why the man was taken into custody but he had difficulty standing as he was treated by medics and then placed in handcuffs at the busy intersection near Caffe Vita. There were no other vehicles or pedestrians involved and the man did not appear to require hospitalization.
I saw this guy by Vita. He was in the middle of the street…music bumping and he was SUPER tweaked out. A few of us watched as he almost hit a parked car as he speed off. I’m glad he got stopped.
