Official poster of the Elliott Bay Pike/Pine party

While CHS prepares its own, um, welcoming party for Elliott Bay Book Co., the April 15th neighborhood celebration of the book store’s move to Capitol Hill is only two weeks away. And, yeah, good for Everyday Music on its move, too. Details on the street party here. Official poster attached and below.

That seems to be the best way to welcome Elliott Bay to the Hill community. They face considerable expenses in the move, have lost two weeks of revenue due to closure for move, etc. I admit I use Amazon and Borders coupons a lot– but I am going to make sure I have the cash to get a book during the opening days. Won’t you join me?

Haven’t bought there in 20 years – must repent of my sins.

Yes, buy local, or watch local become all bars and over priced food trends. (love the taco place, good, cheap)

Nice job on the space, all the rah rha rhu means nothing without daily cash flow – and lots. Big operation.

Time will tell, but, I think it is dicey…. they are bucking the accros all sectors trend, book buying on line.
