Agenda: Forum on Cap Hill 2016, light rail construction update meeting

All sorts of important CHS-type stuff happening on the Hill tonight including a big new bookstore putting the finishing touches on its new life on 10th Ave.

  • Capitol Hill Housing Annual Meeting: Capitol Hill 2016
We’re checking to find out if you can still get in if you haven’t yet RSVP’d (UPDATE: RSVPs are full but you can get on waitlist and get the seat of anybody who flakes) but the group’s annual meeting panel will be an illuminating discussion featuring Hill movers and shakers and some leading thinkers on urban planning. Capitol Hill civic and planning geeks, this is like your Super Bowl. 5:30 PM at Harvard Ave’s Erickson Theater. RSVP info here.
  • Sound Transit light rail construction update community meeting
Sound Transit says their focus tonight will be on introducing D.K. Pan as the lead artist coordinating the construction sound wall art program for the next five years. That’s cool. But CHS will be there to find out what people have to tell Sound Transit now that the construction process is in full swing. Anything you’d like us to pass along? The ST meeting starts at 7 PM at Seattle Central’s Room 1110.

I live two blocks from the light rail construction. Sunday night there was a pretty loud banging noise that occured about every minute until 12:15am. I’m not 100% certian that it was the light rail, but I sure hope that isn’t a sign of things to come!

Could it have been so anarchist leftover from the protest in the park?
