This is the 40th Anniversary of Earth Day.  I am old enough to have celebrated the first one.   I think it is even more important today to celebrate this day to increase awareness of environmental issues.  Climate change hangs over our heads as an ever present reality.    However, I don’t expect to eolve or be a real player in that level of endeavor. I am interested though in the concept of community building and creating a quality life experience.  As such I am interested in Earth Day events to be held on Capital Hill or surrounding neighborhoods.  Perhaps a park cleanup?  Planting flowers?   Fixing an eyesore?      Do you have ideas?   Perhaps this blog could sponsor a project and then use social networking to get a turnout?
