Celebrate Monday’s City Council vote approving the streetcar plan — including the use of budget to explore the pedestrian and bicycle improvements and a possible extension of the route to north Broadway — at a Tuesday night kick-off party for the Capitol Hill Complete Streetcar Campaign (Facebook page). The group has been advocating for the streetscape improvements and the route extension but now that the plan to study including those elements has been improved, the real work of politics, community involvement and elbow grease begins.
