We received this Friday night newsletter from Grey Gallery owner Erik Guttridge inviting people out for a few last opportunities to enjoy his business in its 11th Ave location. We reported earlier this month that Grey is on the move due to landlord issues. In his update, Guttridge says he’s got his eye on a couple “interesting” locations. He told CHS that he is hoping to keep Grey on the Hill and, specifically, in the Pike/Pine neighborhood. Grey closes its 11th Ave doors fro good Saturday night. In the meantime, you can help support Guttridge’s move by buying a special “Make Lemonade” cocktail. Details from Grey, below.

Dear Friends and Patrons,
Tonight and tomorrow night are our last evenings in the 11th Avenue space.  Although it is hard to leave the space and the11th Avenue block, the best for Grey is yet to come.  It will be a little while before our new doors are open so we hope you will drop in this weekend, say hello, and have some fun.  We will be having a late night Happy Hour from Midnight to last call and we’ll be selling off our Champagne bottles at half price all weekend.  If anyone would like to help us cover our legal and moving expenses, we’ve come up with a cocktail we call “Make Lemonade” for twenty bucks.

Tonight will be the last night of Grey Area in this space.  Grey Area is the longest running DJ night at Grey and has been the heart and soul of Grey musically.  The line up includes WD4D, Introcut and another triumphant return of Vital, aka Randy Engstrom.  

Drum of the Draw begins tomorrow night at 5pm with artists Sue Danielson, Matt Kelly, Mark Tracy, Junko Yamamoto, Jesse Higman, Sean Michael Hurley and Robert Hardgrave.  Schratchmaster Joe will begin spinning SOLID Saturday at 9pm and I will be joining him later with some records from my own collection.  We’ll see how that goes…
