Motorcycle vs. car collision (and a lot of cops) on Pine — UPDATE

Received a report and this picture of the police response to a crash involving a motorcycle and a car tonight in the 600 block of E Pine. The report came in via the SeattleCrime YouReport service and was sent in via user twoletters using the SeattleCrime iPhone app.

We’re still looking into what about the collision that happened just after 9 PM warranted such a large contingent of SPD cruisers.

Injuries in the crash seem to be minor. One emergency crew was sent to the scene and was cleared relatively quickly.

UPDATE: 11:26 PM:
No word on what the extra cruisers were up to yet other than traffic duty. The crash blocked north and southbound Boylston near Pine for about 30 minutes. We’ll see if there’s more to the situation in the morning.

Funny to hear cops and sheriffs whine about needing more money for “public safety” when they send this many cops to a minor accident and yet can’t seem to stop muggings in the area. Methinks they are lying. Yes, cops lie. And beat up teenage girls. And shoot black people.
