CHXmas: Seattle University starts a new tradition with holiday tree lighting

Sometimes — very rarely — it’s nice to feel like a small town instead of a big city. Wednesday night, Seattle U brought a small town tradition to Capitol Hill with a community Christmas tree lighting. A crowd of mostly students, administrators and staff sang a few carols, enjoyed some free hot chocolate and welcomed a few of us from off campus. It was the first time the school has celebrated the lighting this way — and it was a lot of fun. Expect an even larger Capitol Hill crowd next year.
