Seattle Quake Rugby new play orientation this weekend

There’s no brotherhood like the brotherhood found in the embrace of a rugby scrum. Except for the sisterhood you sometimes find there. But the point is Seattle Quake RFC is one of the grandaddy teams of the Hill’s gay-friendly sports scene and this weekend those of you with spry enough legs and brave enough hearts can join the team to find out what the sport is all about.

Hiya boyos! It’s that time of year again – time to get your boots out, thrown on your striped socks and short shorts and “RUCK IN THE RAIN”™!

Seattle Quake RFC (Rugby Football Club) accepts all levels of skill, from ‘never set foot on grass’ (weird) to ‘born with a rugby ball in your hands’ (really weird).

Seattle Quake RFC is a competitive Mens Division 3 rugby club with a developmental side and a competitive side, as well as a healthy supporter organisation, so we have a place for you no matter your skill level or experience.

New Player Orientation:

Our New Player Orientation is a great place to gain an introduction to Rugby Skills if you’ve never played before, need a refresher or are afraid of the ‘deep end’. This will also be the first regular practice for returning veterans, so it’s a great place to meet our current players and ‘dive in’ if that’s your goal.

New Player Orientation is on 15 January, from 2p-4p at Magnuson Park, Pitch #5. We have a carpool leaving Gaybucks (Starbucks at Olive and Summit Ave on Capitol Hill) at 1:15p if you need a ride.

I wonder if there is enough interest in a regularly scheduled pick-up game of Touch Rugby at Cal Anderson on a weekday evening? The game at Magnuson Park on Sundays is a lot of fun but we need more options.
