CHS has a sizable geek following. And some of you are petite. We also have a lot of nerds who follow the site via the magic of RSS. For those un-savvy, RSS is a technology that lets lazy readers enjoy my finger-blistering work without viewing my Mexican-beach-retirement-plan paying advertisements.
Our RSS is hosed right now. We made a few tweaks to the Texas Instruments TI-99/4A (with voice synthesizer!) that hosts the site and you should notice things are speedier and less break-ier than normal. Well, except for RSS.
For whatever reason likely having to do with evil things like DNS, Google doesn’t like our feed right now. And Google runs a lot of things. Including Feedburner and Google Reader (believe it or not). We’re working on a solution but in the meantime we might be irritating you with the summary blurbs that are coming through the feed on a temporary basis. Sorry. I was thinking something is better than nothing but that might not be the case. In the meantime, you can try accessing our raw feed — but, like I said, Google Reader won’t eat it.

I’m really not all that tech savvy, but I do prefer to have my CHS blog fed to me by google. I’ve missed my feed and I didn’t know if it was a problem with the google reader or CHS, thanks for shedding some light. I hope the problem is fixed soon so I can resume my regular feeding.
yes please fix this as soon as possible! I miss the feed! (also, I assume this affects the CD News feed, too?)
I use RSS for the convenience.. I don’t mind an (unobtrusive, tasteful) ad or two on my articles. You should look into maybe adding a small ad banner on your RSS feeds as well.
