doesn’t it kind of defeat the purpose of FLASH mob to have to get a permit and plan it out so delicately? It seems like a huge change from the original “kiss in” and “hug in” sorts of flash mobs that started it all.
I hear the group that runs these huge Seattle flash mobs secures half a dozen locations to throw people off their scent, so I wouldn’t count on this being a location for their Glee mob. I do know from friends who are participating that they’ll be practicing in Bobby Morris Playfield from 11am-1pm. I saw them there last year and it was a spectacle to behold!
there’s quite a bit of 10th to try to cover if you’re on foot. Any more specifics?
Reading Rainbow Tip: read full article. It states on 10th between pike and pine.
Now now. Original post went out with a map but without the cross streets.

It was a blast!
To do things legally you need permits and plans so people know where to be and when, and not to piss off the city. You can’t legally get 1300 people to dance in a street and not get in trouble for it. The group that does the big flash mobs around Seattle (through One Degree Events) does things by the book. What defeats the purpose is advertising it on blogs since the idea of it is to be a flash mob, not an advertised performance.
