  • Coffee with your Congressman. Jim McDermott at E. Pike’s Caffe Vita.
  • Bake for Hope sale at Ghost Gallery. 10 AM.
  • Tarboo for Women Trunk Show at pun(c)tuation. 7 PM.
  • Artist’s guide to grant writing at Elliott Bay Book Co.
  • Garfield Spring Waltz at Temple de Hirsch Sinai. 8 PM.
  • Bacon Strip at Re-Bar
  • Also Saturday, down Montlake way per a SDOT alert on the activities:
  • Opening Day Boat Parade and Windermere Cup on Montlake Cut, Portage Bay, and Union Bay; races begin at 10:20 a.m. followed by the Opening Day Boat parade at 12:00 p.m. with an estimated attendance of 10,000. The Montlake Bridge will be closed from 10 a.m. to approximately 4 p.m. Expect congestion in the vicinity around the University of Washington.
