Thieves score two guitars and an Xbox in 13th Ave home invasion robbery

SPD says the victim of a 13th Ave home invasion robbery Sunday night waited a few hours to call the police to report that an acquaintance and an accomplice had forced their way into his residence armed with a knife, stole two guitars and a video game system and fled. Here are the preliminary details posted by SPD about the Sunday night incident that the man said went down around 9 PM. Suspect descriptions and more details form SPD are below:

On May 29th at approximately 9:00 p.m. officers responded to a residence in the 300 block of 13th Avenue East to investigate a home invasion robbery (this incident was not reported to police until over two hours after it occurred).

Preliminary investigation indicates that the victim opened his door to the two male suspects because he recognized one of them.  Once he opened his door, the suspects pushed their way into his residence.  One suspect displayed a knife.  The suspects subsequently took two guitars and an X Box gaming system and fled the scene on foot.

The 26-year-old male victim was not injured.

The primary suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his late 30′s, 5’6″ tall, muscular build, wearing a black Under Armor hooded sweatshirt with red logo and a San Diego Padres baseball cap.

The second suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 6’2″ tall with a medium build.  Both suspects remain at large.

This remains an active and on-going investigation.
