Soccer royalty visited Seattle University’s Championship Field Tuesday afternoon. And Manchester United was there too. Players from the English Premier League champions and the Seattle Sounders were on hand at a special soccer skills and drills clinic for Washington State Special Olympics athletes. In addition to the drills, the kids got to ask Man U’s most famous player Wayne Rooney questions like what his favorite US city is. Las Vegas, by the way, the forward said. Meanwhile, outside the field’s fences, a growing crowd peeked through and hollered for autographs.
