We introduced you to DJ Alan and his low-power Capitol Hill radio station last summer. You also met DJ Magic, Capitol Hill’s only feline DJ. There were some fun new plans afoot for the station that suffered a few setbacks. Now we’re happy to tell you that Capitol Hill’s “only” radio station has a new, no less awkward name and some new ambitions that have it for the first time broadcasting on the Internet. Here’s the update from DJ Alan:
101.9 FM ‘The Whore’ is now ‘Spunk FM’ and SpunkFM.com
You can now listen to the live stream of Spunk FM at www.spunkfm.com (as long as you have a Windows PC). Spunk FM 101.9 can be heard on the west side of Capitol Hill and in nearby parts of Seattle. More information on where you can receive the FM signal in Seattle is on www.spunkfm.com. Spunk FM is Seattle’s ‘Official Gay Radio Station’ and we play a mix of mostly current Dance, Pop, and Rock music. Listen to us online, anywhere in the world at www.spunkfm.comHope you like the station!

You can learn more about “Seattle’s official gay radio” via the Spunk Facebook page here. Meanwhile, for more neighborhood radio from the area, check out the Central District’s Hollow Earth Radio. Know about other broadcast/Internet stations based on or around the Hill? Let us know in comments.
because the radio station IS illegal and unlicensed. The FCC would love to fine folks any chance they get. DJ Alan is cute as a bug, and likely to be known by a lot of people, good and bad. Why make it easier to catch up with him?
