No matter how much we dig around and plan, there’s always an event or happening on Capitol Hill we find out about as the weekend unfolds. Prolific Flickr pool contributor sea turtle shares details of this weekend’s Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence dog wash:

The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence sponsored “Heavy Petting”, a dog-wash fundraiser to benefit Pet Project, an offshoot of the Pet Food Bank, which provides services to individuals disabled with AIDS. Pet Project matches volunteers one on one with clients, handling most of their pet care needs on a monthly basis, and enables clients to keep their pets while spending their limited resources on food and other living expenses for themselves.
Capitol Hill, Seattle.

Next week, by the way, the Sisters celebrate 15 years of indulgence this coming week. Details at the link above and on CHS coming soon.
Want another Hill weekend bonus item? World Naked Bike Ride passed through Broadway — here’s a NSFW picture from frequent CHS contributor Suzi. The WNBR will be back for a night ride on the Hill in August. We’ll give you plenty of advance warning for that one.
How did I not know about this?! I would have loved to take my pooch for a charity dog wash.
I’ve been a volunteer with the Pet Project for 10 years, and they didn’t tell us anything about it either.
