We usually stay out of this stuff. Too tragic. Too numerous. Too ‘go post it in the free CHS classifieds‘-y. But Jake Vorono’s tale of love lost is too colorful for us to ignore. Keep your eyes peeled:

I am a cook at La Bete, live on Bellevue Ave and read the blog everyday.  2 years ago I got hit my a car on Melrose Ave and Olive while riding my bike, luckily the nice young lady that hit me had insurance.  This got me my baby, my bike themed after the Seattle Supersonics, just after they were stolen from us.  Well as the way of our team, my wheels were stolen last night outside my apartment while I was at work.  They are EXTREMELY customized and recognizable.  The 700cc foxed gear wheels are yellow rimmed, with white IRO hubs and the spoke nipples are gold and green in a 3×3 pattern.  I put  lot of time and money in to the wheels and frankly, can’t afford new ones at this time. They even have unique dents from a crash and 2 different spokes from a bike polo mishap.  I am super bummed but, I also have hope that they can be recovered because of their unique style, look and the good people in seattle/capitol hill who know their bikes.  If there is anyway you could post something on the blog, I would be sincerely appreciative.
