Here is the brief on the incident from SPD:

On October 22nd, just before 1:00 am, East Precinct officers responded to a domestic violence stabbing incident in the 300 Block of East Republican Street. Officers were able to make entry into the building where they located the victim, a 37 year old male, covered in blood. He was intoxicated and hostile toward the officers. Officers were able to get the victim outside where he was treated by the Seattle Fire Department for non life-threatening stab wound to his back, cut to his shoulder and wrist. Officers then located the female suspect inside a bedroom of the apartment. The 40 year old suspect was taken into custody. She was later booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of Assault.

That was pretty crazy. The police broke the front glass doors to get in, and when the shirtless victim came out, he was yelling at them. Without warning one of the cops dropped the bleeding guy HARD into the ground. The sound of the guy’s head hitting the cement isn’t something I’ll easily forget. The guy then started yelling, “I don’t have a weapon and I’m bleeding to death!” over and over again. I kept watching because I half expected the cop to start kicking him. Eventually the ambulance came and took him away.

I bet I can guess the race of the victim, and of the police officer who dropped him unnecessarily hard onto the ground…. sad.
