A worker was trapped between machinery and a retaining wall at a First Hill construction site Wednesday afternoon.

Witnesses told CHS that the man was pinned between a dredger working in the large, muddy construction pit and the pit’s wood retaining wall.

The worker had been extricated and was receiving aid before being transported from the scene.

The project at the site is a multilevel parking garage for the PolyClinic which recently leased the adjacent high rise.
