Deck the halls with boughs of holly. Fa la la… ok, enough of that. It’s time to decorate. This year, the Hill appears to be down one tannebaum provider as we haven’t found any notice about the Capitol Hill Alano Club’s sale at 23rd and Madison. Given CHAC’s challenging year, it might be understandable if the group decided to not take on the work involved. Trees or not, consider CHAC in your holiday giving.

is a little bit of a drive down to 2524 16th Ave S but you’ll be supporting an important provider of services in Seattle’s Latino community:- annual holiday decoration, tree and greenery sale is on Friday, December 2nd, 6-8p and, Saturday, 9-4. If you really want to do it small-town style, stop by the 18th/Galer school’s pancake breakfast that morning.
Have always been pleased with the trees, prices, and service at SASG, Dunshee House lot. Relly fresh, the help you and it is a good cause.
Garlands and wreaths too – big selection.
Ho, ho, ho.
And it’s a great way to give back to the community. It just *feels* good to support them. SASG has done a lot of good on Capitol Hill over the last 20 years.
I get my tree there too! Service is always terrific and I always get a beautiful tree! Can’t wait to get mine this week.
They always have a great tree selection. Now, the past two years we’ve been getting trees at the seller who set up in the Broadway Farmers’ Market, just because getting the trees down the Hill is a challenge to us car-less people. However, if the Market guy doesn’t show up this year we’ll figure something out (a shopping cart?).
I purchased my tree from SASG for many years and picked up my tree from El Centro last year in honor of Roberto Maestas, who passed away last year. I’m really impressed with El Centro’s work and commitment to social justice and will support them again this year.

I believe the Alano club is where they always are “kringles corner” MLK and UNION in the grocery outlet parking lot. I saw they are set up there.
There’s also some small trees and nice wreaths at the Capitol Hill Farmers Market (Sundays 11-3, last day December 18th).
Correction to my earlier post they are selling trees in the space but sadly it’s not CHAC.
We have been buying our trees from the Dunshee House ever since we moved to Seattle 4 years ago. This place is great – the service, the tree selection, purchasing “local” and of course, the cause. We have seen various places with cheaper trees but this place represents all we love about Seattle. We’ll continue to buy our trees and wreaths here as long as we live in Seattle!
