Capitol Hill got the annual “Night Out” block party thing going early this time — see our pictures from Saturday’s first ever Summit Block Party here. Tuesday night, the rest of the city — and the Hill — gets in on the act of taking over streets to grill, enjoy a cold drink and meet neighbors.

2012 Capitol Hill Night out — August 7th

• City Market Block Party— “August 7th is The Annual City Market Block Party! Free burgers, dogs and drinks. 5:00PM to 10:00PM. Music supplied by the Crescent Lounge. Come on out!”

• First Hill Block Party— 9th Avenue between Madison and Marion —  “Finally meet your First Hill neighbors! Come out of your houses and down to a cordoned-off street to eat pizza (while it lasts) and play games. Bingo starts at 7:30! We’ll provide some family-friendly refreshments, and there are plenty of neighborhood watering holes to visit just steps away if you’re feeling thirsty.
