  • Northwest Film Forum Seattle Bike-in / movies / FREE / Cal Anderson Park / 5 PM – ‘Late’ / Details
Details on the 7th annual celebration of bikes + film from our pals at Seattle Bike Blog:

Northwest Film Forum’s 7th annual Bike-In is a free, outdoor celebration of sustainable transportation, community and the arts, co-presented with the Vera Project.  Held in Cal Anderson Park on Capitol Hill, the event includes live music and DJs, film, and a fair from local cycling organizations and merchants.

This year’s film? Rad! No, really. Rad — the “bmx movie classic.”

  • BadWill Market / shopping / FREE / FRED Wildlife Refuge, 127 Boylston Ave E / 12 PM – 7 PM / Details
BadWill has gone legit. After running afoul of the City of Seattle in 2011, the market is back in 2012 with a new (legal!) venue, a full contingent of vendors and a host of eager sponsors:

Sunday August 26th Treats Club (Phil Reed and Osiris Navarro) are teaming up with event producer Grace Kelly of GKPR and social media maven/ taste maker Jess Estrada of Fresh Jess for the third installment of BadWill Market. The event will take place at private event space; Fred Wildlife Refuge.

This year’s event will be “bigger and badder” and ditching the “flea market” vibe for more of a marketplace scene where small businesses; shop owners, indie designers, and local brands alike can establish relationships with their consumers and their community. We want to use social media to promote the brands involved and incorporate it at the event.

BadWill Market is about cultivating the arts, supporting local, and sustainable living. Some featured vendors include Moksha Boutique and Gallery, Lucky Vintage, Officials Vintage, Christine Chaney of 3c, Greenfire Products, to name a few.

The event will feature a social media lounge hosted/ sponsored by Google + ZAGAT, food by Meaty Johnsons, and two mobile boutiques.
