Speaking of Mexican food on Capitol Hill, we wanted to give you plenty of time to, um, train for the second annual Fiesta 5K in Volunteer Park on Saturday, May 4th. We had some special commentary on the race and the taco truck set-up organizers arranged for the inaugural event.

The snotty headline aside, the race is one of the few timed events that takes place entirely on Capitol Hill so for you competitive types, here’s your chance to let it rip.

Some of the trucks featured at this year’s challenge come from Taqueria La Fandita, The Grilled Cheese Experience, Nomad Curbside, Tokyo Dog, Skillet and Happy Grillmore, just to name a few. So come enjoy some great tacos, vote for your favorites and see who will be crowned Seattle’s Top Taco Truck.

Not to be a pedant, but shouldn’t “Quatro” be “Cuatro”? Am I missing some sort of clever wordplay that incorporates an event name or sponsor into the Spanish word for “four”?

I *am* looking forward to finding out what these “taco themed menu item”s will be, as a non-running, non-bro, Mexican-American.

We’re looking forward to the Fiesta 5K run this year – it was a blast to participate in it last year. Anyone ever tried food from Taqueria La Fandita? Is it worth getting at the event?
