Civic Duty | Community councils talk ‘gigabits,’ parklets and bylaws

This is a good time for anybody with an urge to connect with Capitol Hill community activists, organizers and getters of things done. Two official bodies of grassroots, community power meet this week and next on Capitol Hill.

East District Council — Our part of the 13 district councils that cover Seattle “to provide city-wide coordination for the Neighborhood Matching Fund, Neighborhood Budget Prioritization, and Neighborhood Planning programs,” the East Council meets Monday at 6 PM at the Capitol Hill Library, 425 Harvard Ave E.
