Seattle Police homicide detectives have released a sketch of the man suspected of gunning down Brent McDonald, an instructor and youth mentor at 23rd and E Cherry’s Coyote Central.

McDonald was gunned down on a Belltown sidewalk early on Sunday, December 13th:

After searching the area for witnesses and cameras, detectives have obtained surveillance video showing two suspects–described as a black male and white female in their 30s to 40s. Footage also shows a light-colored 1998-2003 Mercedes Benz E320 station wagon, which investigators believe may be associated with the suspects.

Homicide detectives are asking anyone with information in the case to call the SPD Tips Line at (206) 233-5000.

McDonald is remembered as a Central District artist, teacher, and youth mentor. A celebration of his life and work will be held at Langston Hughes Performing Arts Center on Sunday, January 10th.

This post left me wondering where the sketch came from, as I never heard anything more about additional security footage or witnesses. It might be a good idea to link to the SPD article next time. They also give more details on the Mercedes wagon that may be linked.
