The Vajra prayer wheel recovered from ‘the waters of Lake Washington’

Tarot reader Michelle Bloom has posted details of the celebrated recovery of The Vajra’s prayer wheel and it’s a pretty good story that we’re fortunate to have been part of:

oh how to say it….the prayer wheel returning…it happened because of community outreach effort. a man saw the wheel sitting in the waters of lake washington, he then saw the post on CHS Capitol Hill Seattle capitolhillseattle.com about it, called the shop and it was quickly retrieved. the news did a story on it and people are coming in and donating toward the repair of the wheel, as she got pretty damaged. so many people have expressed love and support. this has turned out to be a story of triumph of love. i hope whomever the perpetrator is, they receive mental health care. they are not bad, they are sick and need help. sickness led to destruction, destruction led to loving rebirth. the wheel plays the role of wheel, returning with new prayers to send out into the universe. i am moved. i love you The Vajra community.

If you’ve ever wondered why CHS exists, maybe that was our moment.

CHS reported Wednesday on the missing wheel that has provided many a spin to Broadway passersby and community support for the vandalized shop.

Wonderful news!I have found this site to be a source of necessary information and now it is a source of great pleasure this Friday morning. Blessings on the spotter of the bell and on all the people contributing to the repair of the prayer bell. And blessings on CHS for being an excellent voice for and actor within our neighborhood.

I’m not sure how “tarot reader Michelle Bloom” knows the perp is mentally ill and not just “bad.” I think it’s equally possible that it’s the latter. It is a minority of crimes that are committed by the mentally ill.

Glad they got the wheel back, though.

I’m glad they got it back too. I mean really, who fucking DOES that? It’s a rude jerk thing to take the wheel off the front of the building and beat it to hell like that and throw it in the lake.

people are free to disagree with the store and its owners, but to do this is just a dick move.
