Seattle Police arrested one man Thursday morning inside a Capitol Hill coffee shop after a shooting at 10th and E John left one man injured. The victim was shot in the shoulder and sustained non-life threatening injuries, according to SPD.
Police were called to the scene around 9:40 AM. According to SPD, the suspect fled into the Broadway and E Republican Starbucks where he was detained. Police found a holster in the coffee shop and later recovered a firearm in the area.
The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center.
Streets were closed off in the area as officers continued their investigation. The 10 bus was rerouted off E John, E Olive Way, and Bellevue Ave as SPD investigated the scene. Access remained open to the Capitol Hill Station entrance on the block where the shooting occurred.
