Signs of normalcy on Capitol Hill can include the return of something beloved — like the planned reopening of Little Oddfellows inside Elliott Bay Book Company. They can also come in the form of something new and kind of wonderful like the teeny little newest addition to Capitol Hill food and drink — Korn Dog.
Starting with limited Tuesday through Saturday, 11:30 AM to 2 PM hours, the Korn Dog era has begun just off Broadway.
With surprisingly enormous dogs and fantastic flavors including spicy ramen dogs and 50/50 cheese and potato dogs, the new little Korean corn dog provider is already satisfying on its simple street food mission.

CHS reported here late last year that 2022 was going to work out just fine thanks to the arrival of Korn Dog on Capitol Hill and the plans of owner Sunny Lim to fill a former Capitol Hill favorite with Korean-style corn dogs and tteokbokki, “the representative street food of Korea.” To wash your dog down, Korn Dog also serves espresso and lattes. Prices run from $4.99 for the plain “classic” to $7.49 for the corn, mozzarella, and hot dog super combo if you are feeling splurge-y.
Korn Dog replaces Mia’s off Broadway after nearly 15 years of affordable, friendly, delicious service on the southeast corner of the Seattle Central parking garage. Mia’s old checkerboard linoleum remains.
Capitol Hill’s Korean food scene including Pelicana Korean fried chicken to the old Bill’s space across the street at Harvard and Pine, meanwhile, continues to grow.
Lim, who also operates Tapas Lab in Green Lake, says Korn Dog is just ramping up so not everything is in place yet but business is already picking up for the corn dog lunch crowd. But a future with Korn Dog dinners and Korn Dog late night snacks might not be not far away.
Korn Dog is located at 1601 Harvard Ave and currently keeping limited hours. For now, the best way to check in is a quick search — or stop by.
